Nurturing our students at the Newark School of the Arts is one of our most important goals. Regardless of socioeconomic background, every child deserves to have a chance to join the Conservatory. The Nurturing Program gives students an opportunity to develop their skills on instruments or voice, and retain access to quality music education K-12. The aim of the Nurturing Program is to assist students develop in their musicianship to a level that allows them to join the Conservatory. We do this by encouraging students, listening closely, and taking a highly individualized, responsive approach. Students receive mentorship, financial support, and the tools they need to succeed. Upon entering the Conservatory, students will gain access to the many opportunities it provides including our unique collaboration with NJPAC and performance opportunities. The Nurturing Program is designed for all levels, including beginner to advanced musicians. All instruments and vocalists are welcome.
