MUSIC PRODUCTION I

(ages 8 and up)

In this class, students take a dive into exploring music production using professional, but easy to use, computer software. Students will explore their creativity as they layer beats, rhythms, and melodies with loops, sequences, and synthesized sounds. Whichever your favorite genre of music may be, this class will get you started on the fun journey of creating music. Regardless of prior musical knowledge, everyone will be able to produce a track.

MUSIC PRODUCTION II

(ages 10 and up)

Looking to get a glimpse into being a real-world music producer and audio engineer? In this class, students will be able to learn in-depth producing, recording, and mixing skills using Apple's Logic Pro X software, effect plug-in's, microphones, audio interfaces, and more. Classmates will collaborate as they create original songs and projects from scratch, and get them ready to release on music sharing sites like Soundcloud. Although some prior music or music production knowledge is suggested, this class will help you gain valuable insight on the music creation process.

VIDEO EDITING I

(ages 7 and up)
Recorded some video and don't know what to do with it? Join us for a class exploring the basics of the industry-standard video editing program, Apple's Final Cut Pro. Students will get hands-on experience in learning how to take raw video footage, and turning them into stunning visual presentations that are ready to impress on social media. Classmates will even be able to film their own footage on their phone, and learn how to quickly turn that into a short movie. The class will go over trimming, resizing, adding text, transition effects, and more!

Digital Photography

Ages 12+

So you love taking pictures with the latest photo filters and post photos on your favorite social media channel.  Why not learn how to take professional photos with your phone or camera that will take all of your photo sharing to a new level.  Whether it is for a presentation or just for fun your pictures will look great.  Bring your own camera or phone to class and let’s have a blast.

Intro to Graphic Design

Ages 12+ (TBD)

In this 12 week course you will learn what it means to be a creative thinker and to unlock your inner creative genius!  You’ll gain access into what controls our psychology and how our decisions and thoughts are controlled by what we see, hear, read and watch. 

You will be able to bring your ideas to the table and bring them to life using the tools that the professionals use everyday.  And you will leave the course with a higher understanding of the world around you.

Livestreaming / Digital Video Content (TBD).

In these times, the bar for quality online media content is getting higher. In this class, we will go over the basics to a good video setup for a livestream, and how to make engaging video content that goes on platforms like YouTube. Not only will students get valuable insight on how to get their creativity out there in the world, but also how they can potentially maximize their content in different ways. Through this class, students will obtain practical skills to create good online content.

Intro to Film Scoring (making music for films, tv shows, etc). (TBD)

Always wanted to know how music for movies are made? This class explores well known film scores as references, and allows students to create their own music to a short video using Apple's Logic Pro X. Students will learn the basics to good arranging, orchestration, and compositional techniques that can make their music more cinematic!

Professional Musician Development - learn basic skills needed as a freelance musician. (TBD)

Looking to become a serious musician? Nowadays, musicians are not only required to be great performers, but to also be able to understand the music business. Students will learn valuable music business skills that will equip them with the tools to survive as a freelance musician. Topics include professionalism, financial literacy, understanding copyrights, and tips on a freelance lifestyle.


DJ Academy

Ages 8+ (TBD)

Become a successful DJ playing the music YOU love using today’s digital technology. Learn the turntablism techniques of beat-matching, scratching & live remixing to rock a party. Delve into hip hop history, DJ terminology & song structure to strengthen your musical knowledge. In the end, you’ll be able to express your creativity in the art of DJing!
