In these unprecedented times, we are called to serve the needs of our community and help bring healing and joy. Music has always been able to soothe and lift our spirits. The Newark School of the Arts Board of Trustees is proud to present a Concert for Healing Sunday, June 28, 2020, at 5 PM on youtube at https://youtu.be/kVEtYeANcQQ. We have come together to support not only our programs but also the programs of our community partners. Two remarkable Newark organizations doing great work to help heal and bring resources to people in need are MEND, which is a community food bank with many locations through the city of Newark and Wynona's House Child Advocacy Center, an organization dedicated to helping children who have been abused or neglected. This weekend's concert proceeds will go to support these organizations as we believe that we are all stronger when our communities are healthy and sustainable.
