The Drama Department at NSA offers professional, comprehensive, and innovative training in the Art of Acting. Individual and ensemble work is nurtured and developed. Twinkle Stars is a Creative Play class that stimulates imagination and creative thinking. Folktales, Fables, Fairytales, and Children's Classics are integrated with acting, music and dance.

Theatre For Social Change

Learn the art of dramatic performance as a tool to draw awareness to social issues  facing us today. this dynamic form of theatre serves a real catalyst for positive change. Start a conversation, expand a mind, touch a heart. Perfect for those who are interested in theatre with a purpose.

The Actors Craft 1

Focus becomes concentrated upon the actor's total instrument. Students will continue to develop vocal ability via breathing and articulation work. Students will study the integration of body, gesture and voice. An elementary study of emotional life of a character begins Drama terminology is introduced. Students will perform basic poems, monologues and scenes

The Actors Craft 2

Thursdays, 7:30PM
 Prerequisite- The Actors craft 1

This course continues the building of the actor. Objectives, motivations, and script /character analysis are focal points. Students will be required to keep a theatre journal.

 

Video Production       All ages                   Saturdays  2:00 to 3:30 PM

New This Fall! Learn the art of Video Production through this interactive hands on class. Lights, Camera, Action! are the topics of study in this introductory class. Additional requirements for the class will be provided by the instructor upon registration.
