NJPAC JEFFREY CAROLLO MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP

The NJPAC Jeffrey Carollo Music Scholarship provides financial assistance to advanced students who study classical vocal and instrumental music at the Newark School of the Arts.  The program includes individual classical music lessons in voice and piano, strings, woodwinds, brass and more!  Students also take classes in music theory and participate in ensembles.

 If you are a student of classical vocal or instrumental music, you may be eligible for financial assistance through the NJPAC Jeffrey Carollo Music Scholarship at The Newark School of the Arts.  Take private lessons twice per week, learn music theory, take part in ensembles, and have opportunities to perform at Newark School of the Arts and NJPAC !

 Program Information

    Ages: 18 and under

    New Jersey Resident

    Program Dates: September – June

    Class Times: Two days per week by appointment

    Levels: Intermediate to Advanced

    Tuition: Scholarship pays for one lesson per week

A Lifetime of Collecting

Newark School of the Arts presents a lecture by Ronald Maurice Ollie on his life and journey as an art collector of Abstract Art by Black Artists. Ronald, a native of St. Louis, Missouri, is a serious patron of the arts. Over his life, he has amassed a personal collection of abstract paintings and photographs by nationally and internationally acclaimed artists. Currently his holdings include more than 200 objects. Ronald is currently a trustee at the Newark Museum.

Children's Choir and Dance Workshop @ Military Park

NSA Children's Choir, Beatriz de Mello, conductor and NSA Dance Workshop, Clarissa Newby Phillips, Diriector Perform holiday selections at the annual lighting ceremony at Military Park (located in the triangle between Park Street and Broad Street).  The performance will take place on the small stage by the carousel (right accross fron the WBGO offices).

Come join us and celebrate the holidays with delightful performances by these two accomplished groups.

Summer Session: July 6 to 28 (4 Weeks)

Registration begins May 12th. Come in and Register TODAY!!

Registration Fee: $10.00

Tuition must be paid in full at the time of registration

Group Classes:   $85.00 + Reg. fee for  4 week session UNLESS LISTED OTHERWISE

Private Lessons $35.00 per half hour

Each 4 week course is one hour unless otherwise noted. Students may select one or more courses.  Register at our office, via fax or by mail.

A colorful, fun-filled, theatrical revue, inspired by high steppin' tunes from a variety of Broadway musicals!

Our culminating dance event at the Mary Burch Theater at Essex County College

Adults: $ 15.00 in advance/$18.00 at the door

Children under 12: $10.00 in advance/$12.00 at the door

Tickets will be available at the school until 12:00 noon until the day of the performance.
